Styrene
Styrene is available in .040” and .080” thickness. Styrene is a great solution for prints that will be displayed on an easel. It offers enough flexibility to prevent damage to corners when dropped, yet is rigid enough to display nicely on an easel. Styrene also works well for POP displays.
Styrene mounts have no natural fibers in them. They are not affected by variations in moisture content in the environment. They will remain stable (flat, and warp free) even when they are subjected to large changes in humidity. They are also less prone to edge and corner damage than cardboard mounts.
Styrene should not be used for displays in windows that receive direct sunlight. Warping and print de-lamination will occur due to the heat in window displays.
Why select Styrene?
- Excellent alternative to cardboard mounts
- Easily formed into custom shapes with router
- Durable edges for displays needing to be transported to multiple locations
- Smooth finish
Applications
- Interior point of purchase displays
- Easel displayed images / posters
- Ceiling suspended posters / displays
- Signage – medium term interior
- Custom dry-erase checks
